Welcoming Staff Quiet Grounds Family Friendly Old Building Charm Good Food

“I cannot speak more highly of this family run hotel. It is a beautiful old building with lovely grounds, comfortable rooms and delicious food. But what makes it stand out head and shoulders is the staff and their warmth, kindness and attention to detail. I arranged a large party of 20 to stay for 3 days and they made our stay a joy by their helpfulness and warm welcome. Behind the scenes they quietly went the extra mile by attention to detail, flexibility and hard work. This applied to every member of staff, and the familial welcome of the hotel makes you feel less like guests and more like extended family. Don’t hesitate for a moment, book your stay now.”

“Thank you for providing an amazing experience from start to finish for our wedding day reception. Every attention to detail was taken care of and done to the highest standard. From entrance drinks, an amazingly delicious 3 course wedding breakfast, reception area for celebrating and dancing and rooms and accommodation too. The theming was right on point for our special day and decorated perfectly. We had multiple discussions with Jonathan about every detail nothing was too much. Thank you to all the amazing staff with helping and doing everything and going above and beyond, you’ve made our day the best day ever would highly recommend to anyone for reception for wedding. Thank you.”

“We saw them hiring out their pool privately, for £30 for 90 minutes and thought we would give it a try. The place looks very nice and the pool was a good size for a family of 5. It was nice to have it privately for us and the changing rooms privately. Only issue was the pool was absolutely freezing cold, would be nice if it had a bit of warmth to it for the smaller children who struggled to get in and stay in.”

“We had the Tudor Room for a funeral wake. The organisation and buffet food were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful grounds.”

“Absolutely superb birthday / anniversary family stay. From arriving down the private lane to check out. The grounds are beautiful, the staff were second to none, the 2 bedroom cottage was cozy, well equipped with special touches. The pool was great, we had it to ourselves for the 3 visits. The continental and cooked breakfast plentiful and delicious. We would love to return and will recommend to family and friends, thank you for making our stay truly enjoyable and our little girls birthday extra special.”
